Pennsylvania state Rep. Chris Rabb, expected to be Philadelphia's next member of Congress, posed Thursday with Medea Benjamin, whose group heckles lawmakers and has defended the leaders of Iran and Hamas. A photo is not a vote. But it tells the city's Jews, of every party and every synagogue, exactly which question to ask him before he casts one.
It took one post on X. On Thursday, Medea Benjamin, a leader of Code Pink, shared a photo of herself with Pennsylvania state Rep. Chris Rabb, the Democrat expected to be the next member of Congress representing Philadelphia. Her caption: "It's going to be so great having @ChrisRabb in Congress!!!"
Three exclamation points, from a woman who does not hand out praise to members of Congress. She shouts at them. As Jewish Insider notes, Benjamin and her group have become notorious on Capitol Hill for disrupting hearings and confronting lawmakers in the hallways over their support for Israel, generally with a camera running. Beyond the theatrics, Benjamin and other Code Pink members have met with and defended leaders of the Iranian regime and of Hamas. And another of the group's founders is married to Neville Roy Singham, a wealthy pro-China financier believed to be supporting the group, which has led to accusations that Code Pink may be acting as an unregistered agent of China and other American adversaries.
